The West County Wastewater District will host an inaugural creek clean-up on Sunday, April 30 at Wildcat Canyon Regional Park.
Volunteers plan to meet promptly at 8:50 a.m. at the Alvarado Staging Area in Richmond for a kickoff talk, safety briefing and to collect buckets, gloves and supplies. The cleanup will run until noon, at which point there will be a wrap-up meeting, photos and snacks.
Volunteers are asked to wear old clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy shoes that can get wet and muddy, an extra layer, hat and sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle or reusable cup.
What will be provided: gloves, trash buckets and bags, a first aid kit, hand sanitizer, water and snacks.
