A development proposal would demolish the former K-Mart building at 1500 Fitzgerald Drive in Pinole in order to construct a five-story, 223-unit residential building and associated site improvements. Project renderings were provided in city documents.
The city’s Planning Commission will consider approving entitlements for the development of the “Pinole Vista Project” during its meeting Monday, July 25, which starts at 7 p.m. Community members can attend the meeting in person or virtually.
“Units offered include a mix of 36 studios, 99 one-bedroom units, 68 two-bedroom units and 20 two-bedroom plus office units,” the city said. “The project will provide 13 units affordable to very-low income households and 14 units affordable to low-income households.”
The project also includes parking and landscaping improvements.
