Recent outbreaks in workplaces and schools prompted the Contra Costa College District (4CD) to continue its indoor mask mandate for the 2022 summer semester.
In addition, 4CD continues to mandate that its student and employees are fully vaccinated.
4CD will make a decision later this summer on what safety and health measures will be in place for the 2022 fall semester, officials said, adding that course offerings “will continue to be delivered in-person, hybrid, or fully online.”
“Despite more than two years of this pandemic, this is not the time to be complacent about COVID,” said Interim Chancellor Mojdeh Mehdizadeh. “We can’t wait to see the smiling faces of our students in the classroom, but we must do our part to minimize the spread of the Omicron variants and sub-variants by continuing to require this best practice to protect against the virus.”
