Contra Costa County Library says it is planning to offer front door service for pickup and drop off of library materials in mid-June.
The service is being planned in accordance with phase two in the gradual easing of the county’s shelter-in-place order, which began in March to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“Mask and social distancing protocols will be in place and materials will be quarantined between uses,” CCCL said in a statement. “Staff are working to implement all the necessary changes and safety measures as quickly as possible.”
Meanwhile, due dates on all checked out materials have been extended through July 31.
