The Contra Costa County Women, Infants and Children program (WIC) is continuing to provide healthy food and support services to low-income families over the phone during the shelter-in-place order.

Also, the new WIC Card and WIC app make it easy for enrolled residents to access benefits electronically.

WIC is encouraging community members whose income has been affected by recent events, and who are pregnant, recently had a baby, or have an infant or child under the age of five, to apply to receive WIC services. If qualified, a person can receive food benefits within a few days of applying.

All in-person appointments are suspended at this time. To apply online, visit www.cchealth.org/wic or call 1(800) 414-4WIC.

In order to enroll or certify, obtain future food benefits, reschedule, get breastfeeding help, or to ask any other questions, community members should call their local WIC office.
