The San Pablo City Council held no debate before voting on the city’s slogan for 2020. And perhaps that’s fitting, as the slogan the council unanimously selected is, “The Year of Collaboration.”
As we recently reported, the city has been selecting a new slogan at the start of every year since 2012 in order to promote community pride and civic engagement.
As part of the process, the community and city employees were asked via surveys to select one of 24 slogan ideas. “Collaboration” and “New Vision” were top vote-getters.
Mayor Arturo Cruz pitched Collaboration due to its popularity, and without discussion the council unanimously voted in favor.
The slogan: “San Pablo 2020: The Year of Collaboration,” will appear on banners at City Hall locations.
