The City of San Pablo has announced it will install new parking and street sweeping signs on segments of Road 20 to enable city crews to conduct street sweeping and cleaning.
The inability to conduct street sweeping and maintenance has “resulted in overgrown vegetation, trash and debris left on the public street,” the city reported last week.
“It has come to our attention that street sweeping and maintenance for the curb, gutter and parking area on Road 20 has not been able to be completed,” the city announced. “To ensure street sweeping and cleaning can be completed timely and efficiently, the Public Works Department will install new parking and street sweeping signs on Road 20.”
The signs are expected to be installed this month in these locations and at these times:
- North side of Road 20 (fronting Abella Complex and other): No parking will be allowed from midnight to 4 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month.
- South side of Road 20 (fronting Helms High School, San Pablo Community Center, Hatlen Center and other): No parking from midnight to 4 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
Enforcement by police will begin Dec. 2.
