Are you looking for a job, and looking for some help and support with the job search process?
Job seekers are encouraged to attend the Job Readiness Boot Camp Orientation this Thursday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. in the San Pablo Economic Development Corp. (San Pablo EDC) office.
“This 30-minute orientation will tell you all about the upcoming Boot Camp the following week, and we’ll answer any questions you may have about the Boot Camp, and San Pablo EDC’s other programs,” according to San Pablo EDC.
The Boot Camp is a four-day program, offered at no cost by the San Pablo EDC, from Monday, Oct. 14 through Thursday, Oct. 17. The group will meet from 9 a.m. to 4:30 pm each day in the EDC office, and the bootcamp will feature speakers, workshops and activities designed to prepare participants for a successful job search.
Resumes, cover letters, networking, interview preparation and mock interviews, employability and soft skills, and financial literacy and budgeting will all be covered. Additionally, day four will feature a resource fair with training and service providers who will share information about all of their programs.
Participants who complete the full four-day program will be eligible to sign up for a Travis Credit Union ACCESS account with $50 matched savings provided by our grants, as well as to receive a referral to Wardrobe for Opportunity to obtain professional attire and receive additional job search services. Additionally, you will have a great opportunity to sign up to receive further job search support from the San Pablo EDC and our partners.
San Pablo EDC is located at 13830 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D (at the corner of San Pablo Ave and Church Lane, in the Adobe Plaza shopping center) in San Pablo, 94806. Anyone with questions should call (510) 215-3200.
