Harvest Festival brings a taste of Octoberfest to Rich City The Backyard will be celebrating a bounty of local craft beer and cider brewers Octoberfest-style at its first-ever “Harvest Festival” Sun., Oct. 1 from 12-8 p.m. at its Cutting Blvd. spread in Richmond. Beer and cider, food, live music and games will be on hand for the fall event, which will raise support for SOS Richmond (Safe Organized Spaces), an organization which helps people facing homelessness. East Brother Beer, Mare Island Brewing Co., Original Pattern Brewing Co., Berryessa Brewing Co. and the Far West Cider Co. will all be on sale as part of the day’s festivities at The Backyard. For those who haven’t passed it while cruising down Cutting Blvd., The Backyard is a food truck and beer/wine garden located in an outdoor, palm tree-lined lot. Check out its array of breakfast items, sandwiches, tartines and a kids’ menu offered here. “We will be collecting donations for Safe Organized Spaces Richmond and encourage our community to come out and support and learn more about this local organization doing incredible work,” stated The Backyard on Instagram about the event’s special cause. The Backyard is located at 205 Cutting Blvd. in Richmond. Learn more here.
