The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors is scheduled to issue a proclamation on Tuesday to “reaffirm Contra Costa’s solidarity with the peaceful people and democratic, indivisible nation of Ukraine.”
The County joins the Cities of Berkeley, Emervyville, and El Cerrito as well as the San Francisco State Legislature delegation, who last week also issued proclamations, according to County officials.
Feb. 24 marked the one-year anniversary of Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
“Members of the Ukrainian diaspora in the Bay Area and allies are invited to attend and speak,” they added.
The Board of Supervisors meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Board Chambers, Administration Building at 1025 Escobar St. in Martinez. To tune in virtually, click here.Â
