Richmond's Alysa Liu, 16, retires from competitive skating

Richmond resident Alysa Liu, 16, announced in a social media post on Saturday that she is retiring from competitive ice skating after a phenomenal 11-year career.

She’s a 2022 Olympian and a bronze medalist in the world championships, among many other accomplishments.

She stated on Instagram: “i feel so satisfied with how my skating career has gone. now that i’m finally done with my goals in skating i’m going to be moving on with my life. rn i’m probably just gonna spend all my spare time with my family and friends…”
