Richmond Little League Baseball & Girls’ Softball is kicking off sign-ups for its 2022 spring season for tee ball, baseball and softball.

Special sign-up dates will happen Sat., Nov. 6 and Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon at RPAL, 2200 Macdonald Ave. in Richmond (enter on the 23rd Street side of the building), according to league President Mark Torres. Those unable to make those dates can also sign-up at RPAL daily between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Local youth ages 4-6 years old can register for tee ball for $75 per player and 7-year-old beginners can register for $150. Baseball and softball sign-ups, which are open to youth ages 7-16, are $150 per player and $125 for siblings. Families experiencing financial challenges due to COVID-19 are encouraged to inquire about available scholarships.

Torres is asking all players to come to the first workout fully geared up and ready to go Sat., April 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nicholl Park, 3230 Macdonald Ave., Richmond. Masks are mandatory (unless a valid reason is provided) and vaccines are preferred for players age 16 and over. Youth should have their own helmets, but if they don’t, the league will do its best to get them one.

The league welcomes volunteers to help out as a manager, coach, board member or to provide overall help. Sign-up by filling out the volunteer form ASAP.
