Richmond’s Hilltop Community Church is scaring up some Halloween night fun with a “Trunk or Treat” Sun., Oct. 31. The free event welcomes families to visit from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for a drive-through experience where they can take in some decorative sights and score some sweet treat bags.
To participate, families will enter the Hilltop Mall parking lot and drive along seasonally decorated car trunks. While visiting each trunk, kids will get to check out Halloween decorations, costumes—and best of all—receive candy, said organizers.
Event organizers stated on the church’s website that that are “excited to be with our community this October, providing a safe and friendly opportunity for families to enjoy Halloween.”
Organizers asked families participating in the Trunk or Treat to “please practice safety guidelines and remain in your vehicles,” and also “wear a mask and sanitize hands.”
In organizing the event, the church teamed up with partners including City of Richmond Neighborhood Councils and Prologis, the new owner of the Hilltop Mall property.
The Hilltop Mall parking lot is located at 2200 Hilltop Mall Rd. in Richmond. For more info about the Trunk or Treat event or to volunteer to help, click here or call 510-223-2431. To participate with your car, sign up here.
