Richmond police are investigating a homicide after a person was found injured Monday afternoon in the 3400 block of Klose Way in the Hilltop neighborhood.
According to a Richmond Police Department announcement, officers were dispatched at approximately 1:43 p.m. to reports of an injured person in the area. Upon arrival, officers located an individual suffering from injuries that did not appear to be accidental.
Despite life-saving efforts by officers and first responders, the victim died at the scene.
At this time, no additional information has been released by police. The department confirmed this incident is the sixth homicide of the year in Richmond.
