Shop local art and get ready for the holidays at Arts of Point Richmond’s “Holiday Fair,” Saturday, Nov. 22 from 12-4 p.m. at the Point Richmond Community Center.
The fair will feature 14 vendors with one-of-a-kind gifts. Among them will be artists selling ceramics, jewelry, fused glass, paintings, resin accessories, photographs, prints, pressed flower greeting cards, candles, soaps and hand sewn bags and totes, according to the organization.
Also on hand will be free cookies, snacks and crafts for kids next door to the Community Center in the Westside Branch Library.
PaperCut Pottery’s Samantha Marie, an art vendor at the fair, told the Standard, “I love doing these smaller, hyper-local artisan events. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the community, chat with neighbors new and old, plus share my Richmond-made ceramics.”
The artist relayed that she’ll be sharing functional items for the home, like dishes, vases, jars, magnets and more. “It’s the best time of year to support local small businesses by shopping for affordable gifts for yourself or your loved ones.”
Another local participating artist from Studio Isobel posted on Instagram that, “I will be offering purses and totes. Fresh sewn, unique bags created in my Point Richmond studio.”
The Point Richmond Community Center is located at 139 Washington Ave. in Point Richmond. For more information about the fair, contact [email protected].
