The Richmond Police Department (RPD) is celebrating Police Records Specialist (PRS) Kimberly Gallegos for her remarkable milestone: over 40 years of dedicated service.

Gallegos began her journey with the RPD on April 1, 1985, initially hired as a “short-term” employee. She transitioned to a full-time role on Sept. 16, 1985, and has since become an integral part of the department’s operations.

Gallegos exemplifies unwavering commitment to public service and teamwork, according to the RPD. She’s overseen critical responsibilities, notably managing the sex offender registration process, and has mastered all facets of the Records Unit’s operations. Her readiness to assist both colleagues and the public with professionalism makes her a trusted and dependable resource within the department.

“Kim’s legacy is marked not just by her longevity but by her reliability, compassion, and unwavering dedication to service,” the RPD states. “The City of Richmond joins the RPD in expressing gratitude for Gallegos’s outstanding contributions to the community.”
