Jorge Antonio Silva, 41, of Richmond, was convicted by a Contra Costa County jury on 15 felony counts related to the sexual abuse of three female minors over an 11-year period.

The verdict on Sept. 11 includes multiple sentencing enhancements, positioning Silva for a potential life sentence, according to the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office.

The case emerged in 2022 when a minor disclosed that Silva had sexually assaulted her between the ages of 4 and 8, from 2015 to 2017. Subsequent investigations by the Richmond Police Department uncovered two additional victims: one abused from ages 9 to 12 between 2006 and 2008, and another from ages 5 to 7 between 2008 and 2010. Silva had threatened at least one victim to remain silent about the abuse.

Deputy District Attorney Haleigh Parkinson led the prosecution.

District Attorney Diana Becton said the verdict “brings a measure of justice” to victims.

“While this verdict cannot undo the harm caused, this conviction ensures the defendant will be held accountable and sends a message to other survivors that they will be heard and supported when they come forward,” Becton said.

Silva is scheduled for sentencing before Judge John Cope on Nov. 21, 2025, in Martinez.
