House of Loving Hands (HOLH), the Richmond-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, is set to hold its 5th annual Community BBQ & Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, July 26, from noon to 3 p.m. at 260 Broadway. The event is open and free to the public.

Everett & Jones BBQ will cater the festivities, serving up to 300 complimentary lunches on a first-come, first-served basis—continuing a beloved tradition of community nourishment.

In addition to food, HOLH aims to distribute 200 brand-new coats and shoes, along with backpacks and essential school supplies.

Local organizations are invited to participate by setting up resource tables to share information, promotional items, brochures, and flyers. Interested groups should contact HOLH at (510) 730-1162 to reserve a space.

Community members and businesses wishing to contribute can make direct donations via HOLH’s website at houseoflovinghands.org.

This annual event not only offers free meals and supplies but also supports HOLH’s broader mission of providing transitional housing, counseling, job training, and holistic support to women and children impacted by domestic violence.
