Richmond Firefighters Local 188 released dramatic scene photos and reported on a fast-breaking blaze that erupted on Saturday, June 21, in the area of 23rd Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Crews from Engine 67 (E67) were first to arrive, confronting heavy smoke and roaring flames engulfing a single-story auto repair shop.

E67 swiftly joined forces with Contra Costa Fire District’s Engine 70, launching an aggressive fire attack. Additional support arrived from Richmond units E64, E66, E62, Truck 64, and ConFire Truck 70. Due to the rapid and coordinated response, the team brought the fire under control in under 30 minutes.

The auto shop was significantly damaged and the blaze also caused minor harm to an adjacent residence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
