Richmond Public Library to screen documentary on civil rights attorney John Burris

In honor of Black History Month, Richmond Public Library will host a screening of the documentary “John Burris: Godfather of Police Litigation” inside Richmond City Council Chambers on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 6-8 p.m.

Produced by East Bay filmmaker Doug Harris, the documentary details Burris’ illustrious career representing underserved citizens in landmark, bay area and national legal cases with Ben Crump. After the free screening, there will be a moderated question and answer session.  Prior to the screening, light refreshments will be provided.
