Metro by T-Mobile, a family-owned business at 12800 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond (corner of Esmond), will host its 16th annual backpack and school supplies giveaway during store hours this Friday, Aug. 9 through Sunday, Aug. 11, or until supplies run out.
No purchase is necessary to participate. Families are welcome to stop by and receive free school supplies for their kids. The store is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., closing at 7:30 p.m. on Sundays.

About 200 backpacks with supplies are available for distribution, with a limit of three backpacks per family.

“Many parents face challenges during the school year as they struggle to provide their children with necessary supplies because it can get costly. It is our mission at Metro By T-Mobile to support these parents in ensuring their children have the resources they need for school.
