The East Bay Regional Park District plans to improve Richmond’s Keller Beach and will provide information and answer questions during a Community Open House Sat., Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Keller Beach, according to the Richmond City Manager’s newsletter.
The Park District is designing public access and facilities improvements for the Keller Beach area of Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline in Richmond. The project’s design and planning staff will be available at the Community Open House “to answer questions and discuss improvement efforts for Keller Beach,” per the Park District.
The project will implement elements of the 2019 Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline Land Use Plan Amendment. It has four key goals: Replacing aged facilities such as restroom buildings, site furnishings and paving; providing ADA accessibility park-wide; connecting the San Francisco Bay Trail between Keller Beach and Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline via a paved segment; and integrating sea level rise resilience. Check out the Park District’s online page re: the improvements here.
Keller Beach at Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline is located at the corner of Dornan Drive and Western Drive in Richmond. Look for parking on Dornan Drive or at Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline Park. For more info or to RSVP, contact [email protected].
