Rich City Studios is stirring up a cauldron of frights and delights this fall with plans for a “Halloween and Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit Concert” Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. at Omni Commons in Oakland.
Musical entertainment, bar and food vendors, and a costume contest will pump up the seasonal fun, while a percentage of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed during October.
A best costume contest will scare up some fun that night, with cash prizes and more for men, women, and couples.
Currently in the queue for Rich City’s concert are ElTherMo of ETV Muzikk; Expensive Taste of BGYI Ent.; and Cherice Renee. “We’re still booking artists to perform, as well as vendors and any sponsors for the event,” said ChuckT, who operates Rich City Studios in downtown Richmond and offers music production, audio recording, mixing and other related services.
ChuckT said the concert still has 10 and 15 minute performing slots available for performers. He said performers in the 10 minute slots receive five physical tickets to sell and retain the money from those sales and also receive a promoter ticket code to distribute to people, and earn a percentage back from every sale relating to their ticket link. For their part, the performers in the 15 minute slots receive ten physical tickets as well as the promoter ticket code.
The concert’s performing artists will have their own area where they can prepare for their performances, network with the crowd and also sell their own merchandise, according to ChuckT.

Tickets to the concert are $15/presale; $20/general admission; and $25 at the door. Omni Commons is located at 4799 Shattuck Ave. in Oakland. ChuckT cautions there is limited street parking in the area so carpooling and ridesharing is recommended for the event.
