A vehicle that lost control struck a fire hydrant, causing quite a scene in the area of San Joaquin Street and Fresno Avenue Saturday night, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union that represents Richmond firefighters.
The driver of the car left the scene before crews arrived, Local 188 stated.
“As you can see, the car ended up on top of the sheared hydrant making it much easier for members to locate and shutdown the hydrants street valve stopping the roaring geyser,” fire officials said.
