Get ready to groove Sat., Sept. 23 from 5-9 p.m., when the Roller Disco Party will be coming to Unity Park in Richmond. Urban Tilth, Rich City Rollers and Rich City Rides are collaborating on the free-admission event.
The special event—which is for all skills levels—will feature hot tunes, food trucks, games/family activities, prizes/giveaways and much more for all ages. Organizers tout it as most epic Roller Disco Party of the year complete with funky beats, dazzling lights and non-stop fun.
Amid a fire truck serving as “grand disco ball holder,” organizers said the early evening extravaganza will feature a live DJ spinning tunes, a light show to transport skaters to a disco wonderland and roller skating instructors to help all skill-sets get on their way.
The best-dressed disco divas and dudes at the Roller Disco Party will earn awesome prizes and giveaways, per organizers.
“Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just starting out, this event is open to everyone who wants to have a blast and celebrate our vibrant Richmond community,” stated organizers.
Unity Park is located at 1605 Ohio Ave. in Richmond. Community members should bring their own skates.
