Residents reported seeing a mountain lion at La Moine (Cheese Park) in the May Valley neighborhood of Richmond, along Morningside Drive, on Wednesday, Aug. 30.
In response, city officials placed warning signs along the walkways into the park.
If residents encounter a lion, they are advised to remain alert, not approach it, make loud noises, pick up children, leash dogs and not to run, according to the city.
