The City of Richmond has completed the long-planned installation of new gateway signs in the Hilltop District.
“Welcome to Richmond” and “Hilltop District” signs have been installed at the intersection of Richmond Parkway and Blume Drive, replacing old signage with one that will be illuminated by LED. Final touches on the sign project were anticipated to be completed this past Saturday, according to the City Manager’s Friday newsletter.
The color on the signs “will even out over the next few months then will stay the rusty
corten steel color,” city officials said, adding, “The sweeping arc area is punched metal and will be internally lit at night along with the lettering.”
