Local leaders plan ‘Banned Book Readings’ in Richmond

The Oakland Zoomobile is visiting a trio of Richmond library branches with its live animals for reading adventures this summer and the first stop happens TODAY.

Today (Tues., June 27) at 2 p.m. at the Richmond Public Library’s West Side Branch the “Oakland Zoomobile’s live animal visitors [will] turn your stories and reading into reality,” per its social media page. “Learn about the amazing adaptations of animals and habitats.” Visitors can find that branch at 135 Washington Ave. in Richmond. The Oakland Zoomobile will continue its local visits this summer at the Main Library Tues., July 11 at 2 p.m. at 325 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond, 510-620-6557 and also the Bayview Branch on Thurs., Aug. 3 at 2 p.m., 5100 Hartnett Ave. in Richmond, 510-620-6566.
