Richmond firefighters joined Albany and Berkeley fire crews in dousing a large fire Tuesday night at the Lumber Baron at 500 Cleveland Ave. in Albany, near the Richmond border.
Fire crews arrived at the scene just after 8:30 p.m. and came upon a blaze that “looked like the scene from a movie,” according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, which shared video from the firefight on social media.
“The flames brought down energized power lines adding to the already dynamic incident,” according to Local 188.
Crews got hoselines into place and managed to contain the fire to one section of the yard. No injuries were reported.
