Award-winning Golden Gate Bistro in Richmond seeks to add beer and wine to its menu.
On Thursday, June 1, the Richmond Planning Commission will review a request by the restaurant at 803 Wright Ave. for a conditional use permit to serve alcohol to customers indoors and outdoors.
Golden Gate Bistro was opened in 2021 by Chef Victor Viera, head chef of the former Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael. The popular Richmond eatery offers 18 tables for outdoor seating, has 12 employees and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, according to city documents. In 2022, the restaurant launched a food truck location at 601 23rd St. in Richmond.
