Eggcellent options abound for spring egg hunting

Spring is here, and with it, sunnier days and the perfect opportunity to head out on that favorite seasonal pastime: The egg hunt. So you can get started, The Standard has amassed some eggcellent options for your egg hunting pleasure this year.

Richmond

Spring Egg Hunt: The City of Richmond’s Recreation Division has lined up an “eggciting egg hunt” Sat., April 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Nicholl Park, 3230 Macdonald Ave., Richmond. The day’s fun will include egg hunting, games, activities and surprises for the lucky winners. The egg hunt start times will be divided by age: Five and under at 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Ten and under at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.; and all ages at 10:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. To learn more, call (510) 620-6793.

First Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Kingship Realty Group, Your Lifelong Real Estate Professionals and Home Loans by Mabel welcome the community to their first annual Easter Egg Hunt Sun., April 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Burg Park, 2910 Clinton Ave. in Richmond. Word is that the Easter Bunny will make an appearance, and there will also be a kids Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts table and more. Reserve at spot at this free event.

Spring Fling & Art Stroll: The “Spring Fling & Art Stroll” is returning to downtown Point Richmond Sat., April 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizers said that there will not only be an Easter Bonnet Contest, but also an Easter Egg Hunt for kids (Kids activities will occur 11 a.m.-1 p.m.). Lots of local art will also be on display and up for purchase. The event, which will close down Park Place for the festivities, is sponsored by the Arts of Point Richmond, Point Richmond Neighborhood Council and PRAM. Learn more here or read our article.

San Pablo

Spring Eggstravaganza Event: The City of San Pablo will host a Spring Eggstravaganza Event Sat., April 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the San Pablo Community Center, 2450 Road 20, in San Pablo. Organizers welcome everyone to “hop on over” to enjoy activities that will include an egg hunt, activities/games, and take a photo with the Spring Bunny. Click here for more info.

Kiwanis Club of San Pablo Annual Egg Hunt: The Kiwanis Club of San Pablo is inviting folks to bring their baskets and get ready to collect some eggs Sat., April 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wanlass Park, 2999 21st St., in San Pablo. The free community event will include snacks, drinks and lots of eggs. Click here to tell them you’re coming.

Hercules

Eggstravaganza Event: The City of Hercules will kick off its 16th annual Eggstravaganza egg hunt Sat., April 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hercules Senior Center, 111 Civic Dr., in Hercules. Aside from hosting “everyone’s favorite egg hunt,” the City will feature arts and crafts and face painting at the event. Be sure to bring your own egg basket. Pinole

Egg-Stravaganza: Set out for a springtime adventure at the City of Pinole’s Egg-Stravaganza Sat., March 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fernandez Park, 595 Tennent Ave., in Pinole. The egg hunt will take place at 11 a.m., and there will also be arts & crafts, face painting, Easter Bunny pics, local vendors and other fun. Everyone should bring their own baskets for their kids.
