Calling all high school seniors from Richmond and North Richmond: The Richmond Promise Scholarship Application period for the 2022-2023 school year closes on Friday, March 17.

The Richmond Promise Scholarship is available to all 12th graders who:
- Live in Richmond or North Richmond
- Attend a High School or equivalent program in West Contra Costa
- Have attended schools in WCC since 9th grade
- Plan to complete a FAFSA or CADAA for financial aid
The Scholarship amount is $1,500 per school year with at least four years of funding guaranteed on top of programmatic services that support students through college. It is a non-competitive scholarship and does not require any GPA or income limit requirements.
Richmond Promise is hosting a virtual application workshop for students to apply for the scholarship on March 16, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Richmond Promise launched in 2016 due to a $35 million, 10-year investment by Chevron Richmond. The funds are part of a $90 million community benefits agreement between the City of Richmond and Chevron connected to the $1 billion Refinery Modernization Project.
