The City of Richmond will hold its 16th Annual Sisters in Solidarity International Women’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 11.

The free event, which will be held at the Richmond Memorial Convention Auditorium at 403 Civic Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include a panel discussion with City Manager Shasa Curl and Deputy City Managers LaShonda White and Nickie Mastay on the topic of embracing equity, according to the Richmond City Manager’s newsletter.

Local women from the community, along with the courageous women of the Richmond police and fire departments, will be honored. Sponsor organizations will provide information and resources available in Richmond.

“So, bring your family, friends and colleagues to hang out with us and celebrate Women’s Day,” city officials said.
