They say sharing is caring, and the “Spread the Warmth Blanket Drive” is offering a warm way for local residents to show family and pet shelters in Contra Costa County how much they care.

Taking place now through December 18, and overseen by Love Apparent Senior Services, the program is hosting a trio of drop-off locales for blanket donations. The drive will benefit family and pet shelters throughout the County during the crucial winter months when many struggle to keep warm.

The drop-off locations are: Love Apparent Senior Services, 2643 Appian Way, Suite A, in Pinole; Supervisor John Gioia’s Office, 11784 San Pablo Ave., El Cerrito; and El Palenque Grill, 1439 23rd St., San Pablo.
