The community is invited to attend the 2022 Pinole History Museum Fundraiser and Dinner Sat., Sept. 24 from 6-10 p.m. at the Family Life Center of Valley Bible Church, 1477 Willow Ave. in Hercules.
The third fundraising dinner aims to garner support as the museum’s Board of Directors “continues to develop plans to open this long-awaited history center,” per event organizers.
During the event, Ellerhorst Elementary School teacher George R. Vincent, will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award “for his contributions to the community and the preservation of our city’s history.”
Vincent is co-founder of the Pinole Historical Society and has also written multiple books about Pinole’s history and its people. Event organizers noted that there would be “little record of Pinole’s history without him.”
The museum’s fundraiser will include a sit-down dinner catered by La Strada, an Italian restaurant out of San Pablo, as well as a multimedia presentation, raffle and a silent auction featuring numerous items like signed sports memorabilia, getaways, museum tickets and more.
Tickets are $60 per person and will be held at the door. To learn more about the fundraiser, the museum initiative or to purchase tickets, click here.
