A motorist was busted going 117 mph on the Richmond Parkway during an enforcement operation last week, according to the Richmond Police Department.
The operation increased traffic safety patrols and focused on dangerous driving behaviors throughout the city, police said.
A total of 68 citations were issued for violations. In a separate incident from the driver going 117 mph, police made an arrest for suspected DUI.
“The goal of these enforcement operations is to raise awareness – through education and enforcement – of the potential consequences of poor driving behavior,” police said. “We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with the California Office of Traffic Safety, in providing grant funding to help keep our roadways safe!”
