In advance of drawing up new plans for the future of the Hilltop Mall property, Prologis is seeking the community’s input on what they’d like to see at the site.
The San Francisco-based real estate company specializing in warehouses and logistics properties has posted a brief online survey here.
The survey asks whether community members would support a mixed-use project that includes elements such as housing, retail, entertainment, restaurants, parks and recreation, warehouse–data center or manufacturing, a grocery store, jobs and/or a walkable community. Have another suggestion that doesn’t appear in that list? Prologis would like to hear it.
“Prologis’ goal is to revitalize the Hilltop area by replacing the under-utilized old mall with a vibrant new mixed-use development that includes a variety of uses including warehouse, retail, residential, parks and community gathering spaces,” the company states. “The new development will create new jobs, activate the area and provide local residents with much-needed amenities.”
In April 2021, Prologis purchased the Hilltop Mall property for $117 million from LBG Real Estate Cos.
LBG Real Estate Cos. had acquired the site in 2017 with plans to modernize the shopping center and construct housing, office space and a hotel, among other amenities, but the company abandoned the redevelopment plans during the pandemic.
