It’s going to be another fun and busy weekend in Richmond.
We’ve already reported that the annual 2022 Richmond Juneteenth Family Parade & Festival is set for this Saturday in Richmond, with the parade starting at 10 a.m. at Booker T. Anderson Community Center and ending at the festival site at Nicholl Park. We’ve also mentioned that East Brother Beer Company is holding its “Pride & Purpose Beer Festival,” a benefit for Rosie the Riveter Trust, also on Saturday, June 18, from 12-6 p.m.
More recently, we’ve learned that the Richmond Police Activities League’s (RPAL) annual carnival is also coming to Richmond this weekend, occurring Friday, June 17, through Sunday, June 19, according to Dawn Moultrie, RPAL program manager.
The carnival is set to take place at Barrett Ave. and 25th St.
Hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Unlimited Ride Wristbands, regularly $40, are available for $30 until Friday, June 17, at 5 p.m., for those who exhibit the flyer below.
Contact Moultrie at (510) 710-2821 for a ride wristband or stop by RPAL at 2200 Macdonald Ave., Richmond, 94801 or call (510) 621-1221.
“If you can’t attend, consider donating a wristband to a youth in need,” said Moultrie.
