Richmond police are searching for suspects in connection with a shooting that claimed the life of Tejon Clark.
Clark, 24, was killed, and another man was critically wounded, in the shooting that occurred at about 3:35 p.m. Saturday at the Pullman Point Apartments in the 2800 block of Pullman Avenue, police said.
Clark was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
A motive for the shooting hasn’t been released. Police do not believe the incident was gang related, adding they believe there was a disagreement prior to the shootings, possibly between two groups.
No arrests have been made. On Wednesday, Richmond police Sgt. Aaron Pomeroy said detectives have “solid investigative leads” in the the city’s seventh homicide case of 2022.
Clark was living in Texas for about a year or a year and a half, but had been visiting his father at the Pullman Point Apartments for a few weeks. He is originally from Sacramento, Pomeroy said.
The other victim is reportedly a friend who joined Clark on his visit.
