Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) is hosting a virtual town hall on Zoom/Facebook Tues., March 15 from 7-8 p.m. PT regarding progress pertaining to women’s rights, as well as the efforts “to protect reproductive freedom, secure pay equity and address the cost of child care,” according to his office.

The town hall comes ahead of the Supreme Court’s approaching decision this summer on abortion access and as women are disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

Joining Congressman DeSaulnier for the town hall will be University of California San Francisco Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and author of the Turnaway Study, Dr. Diana Greene Foster and Sonoma State University Assistant Professor of Sociology, Dr. Allison Ford.

The town hall “will offer the opportunity for participants to hear what Congress is working on and ask questions about how they might be impacted,” per the congressman’s office.

Aside from being offered via Zoom, the event will also be streamed live on the congressman’s Facebook page at facebook.com/repmarkdesaulnier. To RSVP, submit a question, or request special accommodations, click here or call (925) 933-2660.
