Volunteers are invited to a community cleanup around the Nevin Avenue and BART station area in Richmond on Saturday, Feb. 26.
The cleanup event will run from 10 a.m. to noon, with volunteers meeting up at the Developing Personal Resources Center (DPRC) at 1900 Barrett Ave.
Volunteers are asked to register here: nevincleanup.eventbrite.com. They are also asked to wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty as well as closed-toe shoes.
“Lunch, gloves, tools, sanitizer, etc. will be available, and restrooms will be available,” organizers said. “We will also be giving out t-shirts and masks to volunteers!”
There is free street parking on surrounding streets.
The event is hosted by the City Manager's Office, Economic Development, Environmental Initiatives, City of Richmond Community Services Department, Parks & Landscaping Division, and Richmond Love Your Block.
