The City of Richmond is inviting community members to attend its virtual Black History Month Pan-African Flag Raising Ceremony Wed., Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.
The flag-raising ceremony will be hosted by Richmond Vice Mayor Demnlus Johnson III and can be accessed online via Zoom and on YouTube, where it will be streamed by KCRT TV.
Black History Month originated in the U.S. and is observed annually during the month of February. It’s a time when the nation comes together to honor the rich cultural contributions of the African American community throughout history.
