A Richmond resident was trapped in her car due to two large attacking dogs on Monday, police said.

Just before noon, the resident reported being trapped inside her car after being attacked by two large dogs when she exited the vehicle in the 700 block of Humboldt Street, Richmond police Capt. Al Walle reported.

“Animal Control was called but advised all their officers were off-duty,” Walle said. “An officer responded to the scene and frightened away the dogs so the woman could exit her car.”

Further details about the incident weren’t immediately available.
