Kaleidoscope Coffee in Point Richmond is for sale, owner and founder Cassie Lamb has announced.
Lamb launched the cafe at 109 Park Place six years ago and it quickly developed into a popular gathering place for community members, serving up quality coffee and food along with live performances, artist exhibitions, and even regular ukulele jams.
Kaleidoscope Coffee remains open for business and is in a “strong and stable place financially” and has “a lot of yet to be explored potential,” Lamb said in a statement. She answered questions she expects her devout customers might have about her decision on the coffee shop’s website. In short, Lamb says she’s ready to move on to a new chapter in her life.
“Kaleidoscope has been my dream since I was a wee barista working my way through college,” Lamb said in the statement. “I am proud of what I have built: a thriving community-oriented cafe, a strong customer base, and a business strong enough to weather a pandemic. I am also ready to look ahead, step back, and explore the next chapter of my life.”
Lamb thanked the community for helping to make Kaleidoscope Coffee a success, and encouraged customers to spread the news about the sale.
“I believe in Kaleidoscope, and I want to see it continue on for many more great unknown adventures,” she said.
