Lucky California and FoodMaxx stores are joining the fundraising campaign to support the American Red Cross Northern California Fire Relief efforts and the communities impacted by the fires, The Save Mart Companies announced today. Now through Fri., Sept. 17, shoppers can donate to support the campaign at any Lucky California and FoodMaxx store throughout California and Northern Nevada.

To lend their support, shoppers can donate to the campaign at the checkout counter; a record of the tax-deductible donation will be printed on the receipt, with proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross Northern California Fire Relief.

As the fires persist, the nonprofit has been providing safe shelter, meals, health services, comfort and other crucial support for residents who are impacted. The organization also partners with disaster response partners to manage ongoing relief efforts and cultivate longer-term recovery plans.

Underscoring that The Save Mart Companies is “committed to helping the communities we serve,” Hal Levitt, senior vice president retail operations and supply chain, said this is “an easy way for shoppers to help support the work being done by the American Red Cross in communities throughout California impacted by active wildfires.”

The Save Mart Companies operates 203 stores under the banners of Save Mart, Lucky California and FoodMaxx throughout California and Northern Nevada. Learn more here.
