Price reduced on Marshawn Lynch’s Point Richmond home

By Kathy Chouteau

Bidding on Marshawn Lynch’s for-sale home on Point Richmond’s waterfront has evidently not entered “Beast Mode.” The famed former NFL running back, who listed his 7,039 square-foot home for $5.275 million in April 2021, has reduced the property’s price by $275,000 to $5 million, according to Trulia.com and other online real estate listing sites.

Lynch originally purchased the 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, 7,039 square-foot home at 1456 Sandpiper Spit in 2012 for $3.6 million. Situated on a 9,000 square-foot lot, the onetime Super Bowl star’s two story house touts two distinct two-car garages, a game room, media room and bedrooms with “sensational” bay views of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, San Francisco and other sites, per Trulia.

It would appear Lynch has his sights set on Oahu, Hawaii, where he purchased a $1.1 million, 2,831-square-foot, five bedroom, three bathroom oceanfront home earlier this year, according to the Los Angeles Times.
