A thief stole a car while a 7-year-old was inside it in Richmond Monday morning, police said.
“The suspect stopped the car several blocks away, left the child on the corner, and sped away,” Richmond police Capt. Al Walle reported on social media.
Police were called to the 1500 block of Bissell Avenue at 5:36 a.m. regarding the auto theft.
The victim said he was warming up his car while his child was inside it, according to Walle, and that his vehicle was stolen when he went inside his home to retrieve his lunch.
