One of two victims in a North Richmond shooting on Thursday, June 3, has died.

Shedrick Lamar Williams, 51, whose city of residence is listed as Henderson, Nevada, succumbed to injuries suffered in the shooting on Friday, June 4, according to a deputy with the Contra Costa Coroner’s Office.

The previous day, police were called to the 1400 block of Kelsey Street at 1:38 p.m., where they located the Williams and another victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Williams was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition, while the other victim was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, police said.

“Investigators are seeking additional witnesses who may have seen a white compact sedan (pictured in this video) in the area at the time of the incident,” police said.

  1. Can we also not put his place of residence in the paper? It would be nice if you would look into what he meant to the community and how much he contributed to the youth and how much of a loving father and husband he is.
