A food truck serving Mexican-style dishes is being proposed for a site near Golden 7 Food Store in San Pablo.
Jose Antonio Monico is applying for a conditional use permit to operate the food truck and two tables on a portion of a site containing a small strip-style shopping center located at 2698 El Portal Drive, at the corner of Church Lane, according to city documents.
The truck’s proposed food menu includes basic Mexican-style dishes such as tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, and proposes to be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., although San Pablo’s zoning ordinance limits the hours of operation to 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Food will be prepared at the local commissary, La Palmera, located at 3300 Giant Rd. San Pablo.
The applicant also has an agreement with Golden 7 Food Store for use of their restroom facility.
The food truck proposal is set to be reviewed by the San Pablo Planning Commission at its May 25 meeting. Click here for meeting information.
