Richmond’s public pools, including the Richmond Swim Center and Richmond Plunge, are tentatively scheduled to reopen to the public on May 3.

Indoor pools are allowed to open now that Contra Costa County has moved into the orange tier of the state’s Blueprint or a Safer Economy.

“When the pool reopens, all patrons must register for lane time and space in advance,” according to the city’s website. “There is no in-person registration at the pool.”

The city asks residents to check the Aquatics page of the city’s website in the coming days for any updates on the pool reopening plans. Those wishing to receive email updates should email their first and last name to [email protected].
